Shadowhunters 1-3 Review

Greetings Nephilim,

On January 11th Freeform aired the first episode of Shadowhunters, a show based off our very own Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare. I thought I would share my opinion about the direction of the show so far! I decided to do two sentences per episode and maybe, i’ll do it once every month to recap those episodes! Without further ado, here is my Shadowhunter Review:

The Mortal Cup:

Promising, I thought it followed very closely and squealed every time they quoted the books. I thought Clary accepted the Shadow World a little too easily, in the books it took longer for her to accept that this magical world existed and even longer for her to fully become a part of it.

The Descent into Hell is easy:

This by far has been my favorite so far because of Simon and Alec, the actors portray them so brilliantly and I feel like it’s really bringing them to life. The silent brother’s were perfection and the attraction between Simon and Isabelle was sparked!

Dead Man’s Party:

Simon has been kidnapped and taken to the Hotel DuMort, Alec and Jace have their first argument (which was priceless) and Clary kills a vampire. I was upset they introduced Camille this early and that she was so sultry, I definitely imagined her different but I was generally happy with Raphael.

Overall at the moment I am about 80% happy with the show but even if I start to hate it, I am obviously gonna watch because I want Malec.

Share your opinion of the show and how many nutella jars you think it deserves!

XOXO Shelby Grace
