Opal by Jennifer L Armentrout

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Together we’re stronger… and they know it.

Hi Book Lovers,

Once again, the amazing Jennifer L Armentrout has done it with an amazing addition to the LUX series. Yes, this week I review Opal! I did read this awhile ago but like I keep saying, “So much on the queue, so little time.” I reread to prepare for this post and it was just amazing as I remembered. A little summary of everything that has happened so far:

Katy and Daemon are together, Adam is dead, Dee blames Katy. Dawson is back but not Bethany. Katy has fully embraced her hybrid status and Blake is on the run. There, you’re all caught up!

The book opens up with a little scene a few weeks or so past when Onyx left off. We get a little insight into the new relationships between the gang. Dee refuses to speak to Katy for her involvement in Adam’s death and starts hanging out with Ash (and we know that cannot be good). Dawson is trying to escape his family to go in search of his love Bethany and Daemon is spending all his time and energy in keeping Dawson focus. There is a lot of tension in the family right now when all Daemon and Katy want to do is celebrate the chance they are finally together. Of course the big stick up the alien a** is that Blake has now returned and is requesting help from the Blacks and Katy.

One thing I loved about this book was all the twists and turns. From Will’s return to the the surprise ending, this book kept me on my toes and reminded me why I got into paranormal books in the first place. JLA did a great job adding depth into previous character’s storylines and making the new characters fit into the Lux world. A new favorite is the mobster eleven year old known as Luc. Absolutely fell in love with his whole “I’m the top of the world” routine, cause seriously, he’s ELEVEN!

Overall this book was a huge success for me and I hope for you! Once again (for the millionth time) all of you all should read this series!

I give it
