Ah, the dreaded 8 AM class. It is the bane of every college freshman’s existence. You’re in luck though because I have compiled a list of my tips and tricks to make getting to that early bird class as easy and painless as possible.
5 Tricks for your 8:00 AM Class
Tip #1 Lay out your clothes – Personally, I like to look semi-put together for school, so the night before my 8 AM, I pick out my outfit and shoes and lay them on my desk so that as soon as I wake up, I can grab them and go.
*Bonus Tip: Check the weather app the night before so you can plan your outfit to the weather.*
Tip #2 Backpack All Packed – Just like tip #1, by packing your bag for the day the night before, you are saving yourself a few minutes of scrambling around. All you would need to do is put your computer in, and you are ready to go.
Tip #3 Coffee Ready – If you’re like me and cannot function at any time of the day without a cup of coffee, this tip will help you. I always put my K-cup in the Keurig the night before and put my cup underneath so that in the morning, all I have to do is press on in the morning.
Tip #4 Set Two Alarms – I know, alarms are annoying. But instead of pressing snooze every 5 minutes until you are 10 minutes late, set two alarms, one quieter and the other one louder. The quieter one wakes you up, and the louder one makes you panic about waking your roommate up, and that jolt of energy is enough to get you out of bed.
Tip #5 Makeup and Hair Can Wait – I know some people late going out without makeup, but honestly? At that early hour, no one cares. I usually put makeup on and do my hair once I get back from class.
Hopefully, these are pretty helpful to you and will make your 8 AM life a bit easier.
