Opposition by Jennifer L Armentrout

Summary of Opposition:

Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can’t believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.
Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.
They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

Review:

Good Morning Bookies,
Today, I will be reviewing the final book in Katy and Daemon’s story within the Lux universe! I am so excited to do this today because tomorrow “The Darkest Star,” is being released! Jennifer has created such a rich world through these books, and I am so excited to see where we go next!
Just a disclaimer before we begin, there will be some spoilers about the previous books in the series in this review.

On to Opposition:

Wow. We last left off in Origin with our fave aliens having revealed themselves to the world. Matthew betrayed them, Bethany’s pregnant, and on top of all that, Daemon, Dee, and Dawson have disappeared into a ball of bright lights, AKA some invading Luxen.
We soon learn that the Luxen have been planning an invasion for quite some time and are slowly taking over the earth.
Katy and Daemon have to work together, with allies, and with some enemies to stop the extinction of the human race. The book features many twists, turns, and sudden stops that will leave you hanging onto every single one of Jennifer L Armentrout’s words. She makes you feel as if you are in the story with the characters.
For me, this bookmarked a bittersweet end to a series that had truly been a big part of my life. I remember first reading Obsidian back in 2014; I remember forcing my friends to read this book with me. We became closer as we talked about our favorite parts. “Hey kitten, want a cookie?” will forever be a joke between my best friend and me.

I cried at the end of this book because I didn’t want it to end. It was such a perfect ending to a perfect series. Every moment, every chapter was a surprise and that is what I love most about these books.
I give Opposition:

Thank you guys so much and I will see you on Sunday!
