Good Morning Book Lovers,
Today I am reviewing the second book in that swashbuckling series by Tricia Levenseller, Daughter of the Siren Queen! I knew as soon as I finished Daughter of the Pirate King that I wanted the next book! I was so hooked I ordered the book right away and finished it in ONE sitting! So here is my review!
Synopsis
Alosa’s mission is finally complete. Not only has she recovered all three pieces of the map to a legendary hidden treasure, but the pirates who originally took her captive are now prisoners on her ship. Still unfairly attractive and unexpectedly loyal, first mate Riden is a constant distraction, but now he’s under her orders. And she takes great comfort in knowing that the villainous Vordan will soon be facing her father’s justice.
When Vordan exposes a secret her father has kept for years, Alosa and her crew find themselves in a deadly race with the feared Pirate King. Despite the danger, Alosa knows they will recover the treasure first . . . after all, she is the daughter of the Siren Queen.
Plot
I thought the plot of this book was so much better than the previous one. The first was good but there wasn’t a lot of action, adventure, or actual pirating. This book had all three of these! I actually felt like I was reading a pirate novel! The book moved at a really good pace keeping me intrigued the entire time!
Character
I really loved Alosa’s character development as she learned to be more vulnerable with the people she cares about. She begins to accept both sides of her nature, siren, and human, and that makes her much more fun to read about.
Last Thoughts
Everything about this book was just so much fun. I enjoyed the fight scenes, the twists, and the romance and thought Tricia Levenseller really wrote a great book!
