Good morning lovelies!
Welcome back to the new school year! Entering my second year of college, I am a little stressed but mostly ready to go on and get to it! Today I am reviewing Prince Charming by Rachel Hawkins. This was such a fun YA romantic comedy and I had an absolute blast reading it! I can’t wait for ya’ll to hear my thoughts!
Synopsis
Meet Daisy Winters. She’s an offbeat sixteen-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair, a part time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who’s nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond.
While the dashing young Miles has been appointed to teach Daisy the ropes of being regal, the prince’s roguish younger brother kicks up scandal wherever he goes, and tries his best to take Daisy along for the ride. The crown–and the intriguing Miles–might be trying to make Daisy into a lady . . . but Daisy may just rewrite the royal rulebook to suit herself.
My Thoughts
Think of every royal romantic comedy cliche done, and then imagine them being done in the best way possible, that is Prince Charming. This was exactly what I needed to read to get me laughing and happy after reading so many darker fantasies. I enjoyed Daisy’s character and also respected Miles’s loyalty to the crown and his friends. I just thought this was such a wholesome story and it was just such an enjoyable read!!
Rating
I hope you all enjoyed this review! Let me know your thoughts if you’ve read this as well!
