Today I am reviewing The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L Armentrout! As you all know, JLA is one of my favorite authors of all times and I completely consumed this book! I hope you enjoy, you can check out my review for the first book in series, The Darkest Star, here. 

Synopsis
When Evelyn Dasher crossed paths with Luc, she was thrown headfirst into the world of the Lux—only to discover that she was already far more involved in their world than she ever suspected.

Because the Luxen aren’t the only ones with a hidden past. How does Jennifer L Armentrout do it? No really how! Every single time I read one of her books, I think this can’t possibly be better than the last, and I am always proven wrong. The blend of action, romance, and humor is so much fun to read. The characters were multifaceted and has so much depth to them will be in friggin hilarious. I loved Evie struggling to live with these two sides of her self, and that her reactions and motivations were relatable. Luc… was Luc and he was freaking amazing.

I love how this book wasn’t a copy of the series before it, but rather introduced new problems with higher stakes. I enjoyed seeing characters from the previous books but loved how the focus was mainly on the new characters and this new story. Such an amazing job thank you, Jennifer L Armentrout.
