    March Wrap Up!

Good Morning! I am here with my March Wrap Up! I know I have been a bit inconsistent with my monthly wrap-ups but I hope to get back on track! This month I read NINE BOOKS! 4 Ebooks, 4 physical books, and one audiobook! I will have formal reviews coming out for most of these soon I would give you guys just a few sentences summing up my opinion of each of these! Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins – 3 Stars This book was such a slow burn… and nothing even happened! I really loved the character development. I felt like this book literally just a set up…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Would ReRead

Ready for another Top Ten Tuesday? Hello! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is Books I would ReRead! Have you ever wanted to reread a series again? To recreate that feeling you got when you meet a character for the first time or read a shocking cliffhanger? This is a list of book I want to have the experience of reading again. Because there are so many books/series I want to put on this list, I limited myself to books I have read in the past 10 years! So here you go: The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare The Selection by Kiera Cass Twilight by…

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Good Morning All! This week I am reviewing Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff! This was the last book I read in 2018 and was honestly one of the most unique/unconventional books I have ever read. For one thing, it isn’t written in the most traditional book sense. Instead of pages of narration, the book is set up a collection of data logs, interviews, and reports. It is called, after all, The Illuminae Files. The story begins right after an attack on an illegal mining plant called Kerenza. The dialogue goes back and forth between interviews with Kady and Ezra, each telling their version of the events and how…

    My Process for Writing Reviews

Hi Guys! Today I thought I would go through my process for writing reviews! I try to start writing reviews as soon as possible after reading the book because then everything is fresher in my mind. If it’s been a while  I either read a summary or skim through the book itself. It usually takes me about 15-20 minutes to write a review which is nice because that means I can just sit down and knock out about five in an hour! This is my general process:   Step One: Read the Books (duh) Once I find a book I am interested in, I read it! While I read I…

    2019 Reading Goals

Hello Everyone! Welcome to 2019! Today I am going to be talking about my 2019 Reading Goals! These are just some things that I want to accomplish in the next year bookwise. I wasn’t sure what a reading goal was at first, so I read some blogs (Coffee Cocktails and Books, Riveted, What Cathy Read Next) for some inspiration! My Goodreads reading goal is 80 Books this year! Without further ado, here is my list: Read 5 Books I already Own:  I get a lot of books as presents, or there are just books that I bought but haven’t read. So I am making it a goal to read five…

The Darkest Star by Jennifer L Armentrout

OH HOLY ALIEN BABIES EVERYWHERE Hello Everyone! I am so excited to be writing this post on THE DARKEST STAR BY JENNIFER L ARMENTROUT. The day I got my signed copy was the highlight of my month, yes the entire month. I have been waiting for this book since I finished Opposition and it did NOT disappoint. The story is from the point of Evie Dasher, and you may recognize her last name from one Jason Dasher, the sergeant that we all hated from Origin and Opposition. One night, she happens to find herself, with her friend Heidi, at a club rumored to be a hangout spot for Luxen. Keep…

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Hello fellow bibliophiles! This week I am reviewing The Cruel Prince by Holly Black! The first time I read a Holly Black book was way back in 3rd grade when I began the Spiderwick Chronicles. Those books were my first introduction into the world of fae. I was so excited to find this book so that I could once again fall in love with her writing. The book captures the audience’s attention right from the prologue. A seemingly normal family on a Sunday morning whose lives are then interrupted by a strange man. He kills the parents reclaims his lost half-fae daughter. Not being completely heartless he takes her human…
